من نظرة أولية لتقسيم الكاتب تستشعر المنهجية البحثية التي أنتهجها حتى لانحمل عليه ونقارن بينه وبين تراجم وسير السابقين فيأخذنا التحامل بعيدا عن غاية وهدف الكاتب وخطته في الكتاب فننتقص من قيمته فهو ليس سيرة إبن هشام ولم يصل إلى مستوى الرحيق المختوم للمباركفوري بل هو أدنى قليلا، فكان مختصر للسيرة بذكر أحداث ووقائع الغزوات وأهم ما دار فيها وأهم رجالها....
كما قلت ربما الكتاب ليس أفضل ما كتب في السيرة؛ لأنه لم يحلل الأحداث بل اكتفى بسردها تباعاً، ولم يفصل كثيرا في شخصية النبي صلى الله علي�� وسلم، ويفرد له مساحة كافية لنتشرب من سيرته وخلقه ومواقفه مع صحابته رحيقاً مختوماً، ونتنعم بصحبته صلى الله عليه وسلم عن قرب أكثر؛ خصوصاً في السنوات الاخيرة من حياته من بعد حجة الوداع ووفاته عليه الصلاة والسلام
